Liberating landscapes

Back to backlog

This is what happens when you are tied up with too many things. It's been a long time since I posted anything on the blog and the image uploads has been a bit slow than the usual. Reasons are many but, for most, it seems like an excuse!

I have been travelling a bit too much than usual and the day job keeps me extremely busy too. But, heart always follows the passion. Nature photography is an addiction difficult to get rid of and that's what is happening .

7 habits of highly effective photographers

It's been a while since I had written the article but was getting delayed for publishing for various reasons. Finally the article is published.

The article: 7 habits of highly effective photographers is completely *my* thoughts on the habits that, I felt, is what most of the "effective" people who practise Nature Photography religiously, follow. The opinion might vary from person to person and I will be more than happy to receive your critics and thoughts on this article, with an open mind.

12 Full frames and a Lesson !

It's been a while since I wrote something here. Let me take this opportunity to share with you all some learning that I have had since a week.

Making of the latest images - "Rock Series" had a profound effect on my thinking about abstractness in nature, attention to details and the complexity of the very concept of ‘time’. It’s been like ‘being in zone’ (meditation as some call it) since a week, admiring those lovely rocks patterns and thinking about them.

Frames from wild - New logo

I always wanted to have a logo designed for my website. Everytime I started, I was biased and influenced by the logos that I had seen before, as, I always thought on those lines. Yesterday, being a weekend and summer ( already! ) here, I had not gone out anywhere for shoot and I had few hours of time for myself. Thanks to the bad internet connection, I couldn't even check my mails let alone browsing!!

Trip to Bharatpur - Day 2

After a good night's sleep, I woke up to a bird's call. It was 5:30 on a cold and misty morning. After a hot sip of tea, we entered the park with full enthusiasm. We were welcomed with the Egyptian vultures perched on a beautiful dead bark of a tree. Made few images here and proceeded further, just as when we witnessed a beautiful and moody sunrise. The park gate opens at 6:30 AM and it was extremely chilly, to my bones it felt like 10 degree centigrade. After about 30 minutes since the sunrise, the temperature slightly gets warmer and that's when we can relax a bit!

Trip to Bharatpur - Day1

Bharatpur is one of the best bird sanctuaries in India and may be one of the best in the world! Like every other town in India, even Bharatpur has a spectacular history. On one of the days during our stay in the resort, the resort owner resort narrated the history of the beautiful place. Bharatpur was once a secured, fortified capital of the kingdom ruled by the Jats.
